Media planning & buying

Fierce negotiators. Human buyers.

Media Bridge is an independent media buying agency in Minneapolis. We plan and buy across every channel, negotiate by hand, and take no markup and no incentive from any platform or station group.

What an independent media buyer actually changes

Most media gets bought by people who are paid more when you spend more, or who are tied to the channels their holding company has already committed to. We are neither. Media Bridge is independent and platform-agnostic, which is why our plans sometimes recommend less of something rather than more.

Our buyers are senior and they negotiate by hand, station by station and platform by platform. Nearly twenty years of rate history sits behind every negotiation, so we know what a market paid last year and what it should pay now.

Every channel, planned together

Media is not a set of silos. A radio buy that ignores what CTV is doing in the same market wastes both. We plan them as one system.

01

Television and CTV

Broadcast, cable, connected TV and OTT. Negotiated on rate and on placement quality, not just on reach numbers in a deck.

02

Radio and audio

Terrestrial radio, streaming audio and podcasts, including host-read. Audio is having a genuine resurgence and the rates still reward a buyer who knows the market.

03

Out of home and print

Billboards, transit, place-based and print. The channels that are hardest to buy well and easiest to overpay for.

04

Programmatic

Programmatic display, video and audio bought transparently, with the fees visible rather than buried in a managed-service margin.

05

Paid social and search

Paid social, paid search and retail media, measured against the business outcome rather than the platform dashboard.

06

National with local precision

National campaigns executed market by market, which is where most national plans quietly lose their efficiency.

Questions we get asked

What does a media buying agency do?

A media buying agency decides where your advertising money goes and then negotiates and places it. That covers planning the channel mix against a business goal, negotiating the rates, trafficking the creative, and reporting what the spend returned. At Media Bridge, planning and buying sit with the same senior people, so the person who built the plan is the person who defends it in negotiation.

How is an independent media buying agency different from a holding company agency?

An independent agency answers to its clients rather than to a parent company. That matters in two concrete ways: there is no obligation to spend against a holding company’s pre-committed inventory, and there is no incentive to recommend the channels that pay the agency best. Media Bridge has been independent and woman-owned since 2010.

Do you take a markup on media?

No. We are compensated by our clients, not by the channels we buy, and we are not incentivized toward any platform or station group. It is the reason a plan from us sometimes recommends spending less in a channel.

Which channels do you buy?

Television, connected TV and OTT, terrestrial radio, streaming audio and podcasts, out of home, print, programmatic display and video, paid social, paid search and retail media. We plan them together rather than as separate budgets.

Can you work alongside our existing agency or in-house team?

Yes. A good share of our work is as the media partner to a team that already has creative handled, in-house or elsewhere. We can run media as a standalone discipline or as part of full-service work.

Where is Media Bridge located and who do you work with?

We are in the North Loop in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and we buy nationally. Clients range from regional brands to national healthcare, finance, retail, franchise and nonprofit organizations.

Paying too much for too little reach?
